The McLaren F1 is regarded by many as one of the most significant automobiles ever created. Decades after its introduction, its influence continues to reach beyond performance figures and broken records.
In Against Time, I wanted to explore that sense of permanence through a simple, almost unnoticed detail. Suspended beneath the car, a strip of tape, temporary by nature, becomes permanent through paint. A fleeting moment preserved against time.
This painting reflects on how certain objects transcend their original purpose and remain culturally relevant long after their era has passed.
